Tuesday, April 24, 2012 6:00 pm: "Baby Boomers Guide to Caring for Aging Parents." In our death denying culture it is not always easy to find support if you are caring for elderly or ailing parents. In this free community service event, author Joanna Lillian Brown will describe four stages of caregiving, discuss different caregiving roles, from primary caregiver to helping from afar, and will offer a brief list of actions that can assure a higher quality of life for the parent and the adult-child caregiver. The author will take questions and comments from the audience following the talk. Free and open to the public. The book will be available for sale for $20.13 before and after the talk.
